PRODUCTION MANAGER POSITION
HOURS: F/T, daytime hours. Weekend hours preferred but not required.
START DATE: Immediate.
DESCRIPTION: The Production Manager ensures quantity and quality control of all food-related materials and supervises the work of the Production Assistants. This is a supervisory position.
Responsibilities:
Create and place food orders based upon class requisitions against inventory
Purchase and receive orders
Maintain standard of quality control on food-related and food storage items
Manage up-to-date inventory of all food and food-related supplies
Monitor quantity and functionality of tools and equipment
Track temperature logs and shelf stock tags
Maintain invoice filing system and all associated purchasing paperwork
Manages the building of ingredient bins for cooking classes
Facilitate class setup for assistants
Provide support to classes by opening shop, verifying kitchen is clean and ready for class set up
Fulfill daily and weekly maintenance activities and assist in maintaining storage areas according to Shop standards
Hiring and scheduling Production Assistants, overseeing training, quality control, and adherence to production guidelines
Qualifications:
ServSafe Certified
Excellent time management skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Superior organizational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to learn quickly and pick up new skills
Ability to problem solve
Exhibit strong initiative and ability to work independently
Able to consistently provide high level of customer service
Ability to interact with clients and staff in a friendly and cooperative manner
Required:
Previous restaurant purchasing preferred. Previous experience in the food and/or hospitality field is required
Proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications
ServSafe Certification required within one month after hire
Reliable transportation (required for weekly purchasing tasks)
